Elevation certificates
The Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) has created maps which show flood hazard zones. Some structures which
appear to lie within such a zone as mapped, and thus to require flood
insurance, may in fact be sufficiently well-elevated to be exempt from this
requirement. But FEMA requires proof. York Hill can perform a field survey and
provide an Elevation Certificate which can be submitted to FEMA and which may
result in the removal of the insurance requirement.
